My name is Mrs. Nicole White, and I am the counselor for Harper ISD. Although this marks my fourth year as counselor, this will be my 14th year with Harper ISD and my 17th year in education.

I grew up in Leander, Texas, where I attended school from kindergarten through twelfth grade. My older sister and brother also graduated from Leander, and they still live in the area, as do my parents. After graduating high school in 1988, I attended Austin Community College and went on to attend Angelo State University (ASU) in San Angelo, earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1993. At that time, I received certification to teach grades 6-12 English, journalism, speech, and reading, along with grades 1-8 elementary. I later returned to ASU to pursue my graduate degree and earned my Master of Education in School Guidance and Counseling in 2007. I am currently attending graduate school again in order to be able to teach college-level speech courses, so I am a true believer in continuing education!

My husband Cody also graduated from ASU, and he is currently the Harper Longhorn athletic director and head football coach. We married in San Angelo 18 years ago, and we now have twin daughters who love being Longhorns. Most of our waking moments are spent at school events, but I also love to play the piano at church and spend time with my family whenever I get the chance.
